Sarah & Dan – A Boutipi Story
As with so many companies success stories Boutipi’s started with a desire to fill a gap in the market for one of its own founders, who wanted that splash of fairytale magic for their own wedding, but found it tricky to outsource. That spark led to the idea behind Boutipi – a Yorkshire based company providing boutique tipis (Boutipis) to all manner of events and locations. This article focuses on a very special recent wedding between Sarah and Dan, who took advantage of a triple giant tipi set up in triangle formation to make their special day extra-memorable.
After their wedding Sarah and Dan were driven to the field for the reception in an open carriage with extra sturdy wheels to cope with the rough terrain and soon they were able to feast their eyes on the beautiful Boutipi that would provide an intimate, yet airy and spacious setting for the reception and festivities. The attention to detail that went into decorating the tipi was simply breathtaking. Fairy lights were lovingly hung around the supports and table settings were tastefully detailed with woven mats, stunning bouquets of flowers and delightfully customized place settings. Around the tipi little tables woven with basketry were set up to provide entertainment and guest favours. One fantastic idea was a photo guestbook, with a polaroid camera and fixings, along with a photograph book!
A bar table provided drinks in glasses in unique numbered boxes depending on the drink, giving guests many options and providing an example of just how much space there is to be flexible inside our triple giant tipis. The grass inside the tipi was covered with comfortable outdoor carpet and there was plenty of room for dancing, so that the lovely couple’s first dance could be properly documented!
One of the very best things about a tipi wedding is the ability to have stunning natural views and this was certainly the case for Sarah and Dan. In addition the outdoor spaces were beautifully lit, providing safety and a magical look come evening. The entrance to the Boutipi was adorned with a breathtaking selection of flowers, which really completed the look and there were plenty of hay bales laid out in the field to sit on while enjoying drinks and canopes in the open air – a very important factor in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. There was even space for a bouncy castle for some extremely grateful children attending!
